Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 7 p.m.  to discuss a proposed ordinance to amend the Town of Plymouth Zoning Ordinance by adding permitted uses to the Agricultural One (A-1), Agricultural Two (A-2), and Agricultural Three (A-3) Zoning Districts and by revising the definition of a farm.  The proposed ordinance is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF PLYMOUTH BY ADDING PERMITTED USES TO THE AGRICULTURAL ONE (A-1), AGRICULTURAL TWO (A-2), AND AGRICULTURAL THREE (A-3) ZONING DISTRICTS AND BY REVISING THE DEFINITION OF A FARM.

THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF PLYMOUTH, COUNTY OF ROCK, STATE OF WISCONSIN, ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The Agricultural District One (A-1) permitted uses established pursuant to Section 2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Plymouth is amended to create subsection (E), which shall read as follows:

Existing Residences. Residences, regardless of occupancy, existing as of November 7, 1995.

SECTION 2: Section 5(C) relating to existing farm dwellings and related farm structures in the Agricultural One (A-1) Zoning District shall be deleted and removed.

SECTION 3: The Agricultural District Two (A-2) permitted uses established pursuant to Section 2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Plymouth is amended to create subsection (E), which shall read as follows:

Existing Residences. Residences, regardless of occupancy, existing as of November 7, 1995.

SECTION 4: Section 5(C) relating to existing farm dwellings and related farm structures in the Agricultural Two (A-2) Zoning District shall be deleted and removed.

SECTION 5: The Agricultural District Three (A-3) permitted uses established pursuant to Section 2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Plymouth is amended to create subsection (E), which shall read as follows:

Existing Residences. Residences, regardless of occupancy, existing as of November 7, 1995.

SECTION 6: Section 5(C) relating to existing farm dwellings and related farm structures in the Agricultural Three (A-3) Zoning District shall be deleted and removed.

SECTION 7: The term farm in Section 16 shall be amended to read as follows:

Farm: All land under common ownership that is primarily devoted to agricultural use as defined in each zoning district. For purposes of this definition, land is deemed to be primarily devoted to agricultural use if a majority of the land areas are in agricultural use. In determining whether land is in agricultural use herein, the Town may consider how the land is classified for property tax purposes.

SECTION 8: This ordinance and the additions, modifications and deletions described herein shall take effect and shall be in full force from and after its passage and posting as provided by law.
